National Asset Management Limited (NAMAL) is a public limited liability company,
commenced operations in 1991 and licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission
of Sri Lanka to operate Unit Trust Funds in Sri Lanka.
NAMAL is owned by two institutional shareholders namely Milford Holdings (Pvt) Ltd
and DFCC Bank. These institutions hold 70% and 30% of the issued share capital of
the company. The issued share capital stands at Rs 100 million.
The Board of Directors of the company are primarily represented by these institutional
shareholders. The present Board is constituted by representatives from Milford Holdings
(Pvt) Ltd, and the DFCC Bank.
As a professional Fund Management organization NAMAL offers variety of unit trust
funds representing equity and fixed income markets in Sri Lanka to enable investors
to choose most appropriate form of investment for their requirement.
NAMAL manages private portfolios on specific client mandates. These services provides
extension of experienced professional fund management capabilities together with
safe investment process and systems to ensure that the client funds are managed
in a very secure environment.
In addition to fund management services NAMAL offers registrar services for public
listed companies which includes comprehensive dividend management, rights issue
and share split management and IPO services.
NAMAL has an experienced staff with wide exposure in investment, research, finance
and legal, to facilitate these services that are delivered professionally with the
multi disciplinary skills.
As an innovative organization NAMAL continues to explore opportunities in the financial
markets to provide investment schemes which are needed for both individual and institutional
investors in Sri Lanka and abroad.
